+WORSHIP | IN-PERSON or Online | 9:30 AM+
As we get into the winter months, we are aware that inclement weather can happen on any day of the week. In the event of storms on the weekend, we will try to make decisions on Saturday evenings about changes to our Sunday morning schedule.
PLEASE CHECK TRINITY WEBSITE FOR CHURCH CANCELLATIONS DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER.
We continue to worship in a hybrid fashion. Please worship in the manner which is best for your household. Although we no longer require advance signup for in-person worship, please check in with a greeter as you arrive (for contact tracing purposes if needed). If a change needs to be made to this plan, we will notify you via email.
The second covenant in this year’s Lenten readings is the one made with Abraham and Sarah: God’s promise to make them the ancestors of many, with whom God will remain in everlasting covenant. Paul says this promise comes to all who share Abraham’s faith in the God who brings life into being where there was no life. We receive this baptismal promise of resurrection life in faith. Sarah and Abraham receive new names as a sign of the covenant, and we too get new identities in baptism, as we put on Christ.

Lenten Resources
Looking for a spiritual practice for Lent? A variety of resources have been posted to our website. All are free resources and will engage you in different ways. There is something for all ages. Take a look…
https://trinityelca.org/lenten-resources/
Lenten Prayer Station
The prayer strip station will be back again this year. You are invited to write a prayer concern on a strip of fabric and hang it on the cross. Then we encourage you to take someone else’s strip and pray for that concern for the coming week. Add and return prayer strips as often as you like. More details are provided at the prayer station.
Stations of the Cross
The Stations of the Cross are back up around the Social Hall. You are invited to take some time to walk the way of the cross this Lenten season. At each station you will find a scripture passage and a short prayer.
Lenten Benevolence
This year’s Lenten Benevolence will be given to the Lutheran Disaster Response, International. Please give generously. The need is great.

Adult Forum Returns Next Week
How much of the Bible have you read? Maybe you’ve started with good intentions and gotten bogged down in Leviticus. Maybe you’ve just read the gospels or the Old Testament histories and stories. Maybe you’ve read the whole thing, cover to cover. Maybe you’ve just picked out some of your favorite stories or Psalms. No matter how much you’ve read, whether you’ve read it all or only a little, the Adult Forum class now is for you. We will be using Daniel Erlander’s Manna and Mercy to try to understand the Bible as a whole—its major themes and messages, ultimately covering both the Old and New Testaments. Last fall we started with six sessions that took us through the people of Israel settling in the land of Canaan (Genesis to Judges). We will continue our exploration this winter starting with the the people of Israel wanting a king and ending with the birth of Jesus.
Please join us for Adult Forum each week in Room 10.
