+WORSHIP | IN-PERSON or ONLINE | 9:30 AM+
Today is sometimes called “Good Shepherd Sunday.” Jesus is called the “gate” of the sheep in today’s gospel. The risen Christ opens the way to abundant life. He anoints our heads with oil and guides us beside the still waters of our baptism. Each Sunday he spreads a feast before us amid the world’s violence and war. We go forth to be signs of the resurrection and extend God’s tender care to all creation.

+COMMUNITY NEWS+
Welcome Back Pr. Cynthia Baskin
Pr. Cindy, now retired from active ministry, has served as a supply priest/pastor in both Episcopal and Lutheran congregations. She and her husband live in North Potomac and enjoy traveling.
Graduate Recognition Sunday | May 14
Trinity will be honoring all people graduating: high school, college (associate, bachelors, graduate degrees), and certificate programs, on Sunday the 14th. Please notify the office if you have a recent or upcoming graduate in your family. Please include the school; and for high schoolers, also their next destination in the fall.
Call Committee Progress
Before a slate of candidates is provided by the Synod, the Call Committee must prepare a Ministry Site Profile (MSP). The MSP is a standardized form requiring basic statistical information, as well as in depth questions about the Congregation. The Call Committee has submitted the MSP to the Synod and it has been approved by the Bishop. We are optimistic we will receive a slate of candidates in the next few weeks. For more background on the development of the MSP, please see the April Trinitarian.
The Call Committee is excited to move on to the next step of the Call Process. We will keep the Congregation up to date on our progress. Please feel free to reach out to any of us with questions or concerns. We ask that you continue to keep our call process in your prayers.
Yours in Christ,
The Call Committee
Proposed Storage Project
For a number of years now, we have been storing the air purifiers and the A/V equipment in the nursery space in order to lock them into a secured room.
With the push to revitalize the nursery, this is no longer a good solution. Before leaving, Anita had proposed repurposing the space under the stairs leading to the balcony/storage room in the social hall for this purpose. This will consist of constructing a semi-permanent structure that fills in the currently underutilized space yet still gives access to the electrical outlet. There are mock-up drawings available near this space and on an easel for the next few weeks. If you would like to provide feedback or comments, please speak with Mike M.
Alleluia Poster
A large coloring poster is available Sunday mornings during the Easter season. As the coloring prayer station seemed to be well enjoyed, the poster is open for everyone to enjoy. You are invited to sit at the table, color for a bit and engage in conversation.
Congregational Meeting and Lunch
Sunday, May 7th will be our spring Congregational meeting and lunch immediately following worship. The theme for the lunch will be “Salad Bar”. Please bring a salad to share. Be creative and think outside the box…or bowl!
COFFEE HOUR HOSTS NEEDED
There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer for Coffee Hour! Please call the church office to sign up, or click here or contact Chelsea Y at Chelsea.kiehl@valpo.edu with questions.
